British chocolate producer, Montezuma’s, has breakthrough year following debut at WTCE

Montezuma’s, an award winning chocolate company currently stocked at Liberty’s, Waitrose, John Lewis and Selfridges, has opened the door to a whole new industry sector after exhibiting at the World Travel Catering and Onboard Services Expo (WTCE®). The brand, whose luxury range features flavours such as chilli and lime, milk chocolate and dark chocolate with salt, has announced a partnership with FBV Travel Retail, an onboard travel retail sales consultancy.

The show was the perfect place for Montezuma’s to network and build new projects with some of the world’s leading airlines as Helen Pattinson, Co-Founder of Montezuma’s, explains: “WTCE was a fantastic opportunity for us to meet some prospects we had already been talking to and introduce our brand to many buyers who had never seen us before. We were able to have fantastic discussions with many airlines directly including Delta, Virgin and Thompson.

“We also learnt a lot about what the airlines are looking for, how the travel industry works and which of our products are most suitable. The travel sector offers significant sales opportunities as well as the chance to be innovative, offering bespoke concepts to help grow our brand and reach a wider audience.”

Montezuma’s is not alone in finding success as a WTCE exhibitor. Many companies have reported huge and lucrative deals thanks to their participation in the air and rail industry’s flagship onboard services event.
