    When will AIX and WTCE take place?
    Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) and World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo (WTCE) will return to the Hamburg Messe from 13-15 April 2021, following their postponement for 2020. Passenger Experience Conference (PEC) will take place the day before on Monday 12th April 2021.

    Can I be reimbursed for my visitor/PEC/Industry Networking party ticket if I can no longer attend with the new dates?

    Passenger Experience Conference: Your 2020 ticket will be refunded in full. We expect this process to take a week to complete. The 2021 Passenger Experience Conference programme will be available in November 2020, we hope you can join us next year.

    Paid visitor: You will receive a full refund for your 2020 ticket. We appreciate your patience during this time while we deal with a large number of requests.

    Industry Networking Party: You will have the choice to transfer your Industry Networking Party and exhibition ticket to the 2021 events or receive a full refund. We appreciate your patience during this time while we deal with a large number of requests. We will be in touch via email in the coming days with details of how you can transfer your ticket or process a refund.

    Will my registration still be valid?

    If you registered and did not pay for your ticket, your registration for the 2020 events will be cancelled. We hope you can join us next year.

    What if I already booked travel and hotel accommodation for the previous event dates?
    You will have to contact the respective tour operator, airline and hotel you made your booking with and check your travel insurance.

      Why should I attend the show?
      If you are involved or responsible for the purchase of travel catering or onboard services then this is the industry event you cannot afford to miss. The show enables you to network and build relationships with new and existing partners, whilst staying ahead of the curve by updating your industry knowledgeunderstanding trends, discovering new products & networking with your peers.

      Who visits?
      WTCE goes from strength to strength every year and is the one place where the whole onboard services industry comes together to meet and conduct business. With over 4,000 industry professionals including over 800 airline and rail buyers and specifiers attending.

      Who can attend WTCE?
      WTCE has a strict admissions policy and is open only to those involved in the onboard industry. For more information click here.

      How much does it cost to visit the show?
      Entry to WTCE is free of charge for:

      • Airlines, Rail Operators and Catering Buyers
      • Visitors from companies exhibiting at WTCE (includes procurement and specifier personnel - to qualify, their company must have a stand in the Exhibition Hall)
      • Media
      • Key Aviation universities will also be exempt from the admission fee subject to qualification
      • PEC Delegates
      • PEC and Taste of Travel Speakers
      • Industry Networking Party delegates
        *subject to verification

      Non exhibiting companies/suppliers only:

      To align ourselves with other Aviation industry events, WTCE has introduced an admission fee of 54 Euros for non exhibiting companies/suppliers only attending the 2020 event.

      • Visitors who pre-register in advance of the show will pay 54 Euros to attend both WTCE & AIX across all three days of the event
      • Delegates attending PEC will have free access to both shows across the three days
      • Delegates attending the Industry Networking Party will have discounted access to both events across the three days
      • All Visitors who do not pre-register will pay 70 Euros on the door – regardless if their company has a stand at the event. (e.g. only VIP’s will be exempt from paying an onsite charge assuming they are carrying the correct credentials e.g. valid company business card or work pass)

      Who is exhibiting at WTCE?

      A comprehensive list of who is exhibiting at our exhibition can be found here. Do regularly check this directory as exhibitors sign up on a daily basis.

      Is WIFI available at the show?
      There are dedicated WIFI zones in the exhibition however, you can purchase WIFI on an hourly and daily rate via the Hamburg Messe.

      What time are the hospitality evenings?
      All exhibitors and attendees are invited to attend the hospitality evenings on Tuesday and Wednesday from 17:00-19:00 in the exhibition halls. The evenings provide the ideal opportunity to meet with your peers and network with this year's event attendees while enjoying refreshments.

      Is there any disabled access?
      The Expo is located on the ground floor however to reach the ground floor you may need to utlise the escalator or lift if you are unable to use the stairs. Access to upper levels and to visit Aircraft Interiors Expo is possible via lifts or escalators. For assistance, please contact a member of the team located at the Central Entrance.

      Where is the exhibitor access?
      Exhibitor access can be found via gate A1.

      Are there any cash machines?
      There is a cash machine at the Central Entrance and also at the South Entrance and East Entrances in Aircraft Interiors Expo.

      Are there any places to buy food and drinks?
      Snack bars serving light refreshments are located in each hall and there is a restaurant in Hall A4.

      Cloakroom facilities are available in theCentral Entrance. There is a charge of approx. €2 per item.

      Organisers Office
      The WTCE Organiser’s office is located in Central Entrance Upper, adjacent to the Skywalk connecting WTCE with Aircraft Interiors Expo.

      Stand Enquiries

    • Travel

      How do I plan my travel and accommodation?
      To aid with your travel and accommodation planning, WTCE works with a select number of partners with the sole purpose of securing you the best travel and accommodation rates possible. Travel and accommodation can be secured via our Venue & Travel page.

      Do I require a visa to enter Germany, if so how do I obtain one?
      If you are a non-British national or not a citizen of the European Economic Area (EEA) countries, you must be in possession of a valid visa in order to enter Germany and attend WTCE.

      Taxi Service
      Taxis are available outside all entrances. If you are travelling to the venue, please ask the taxi to drop you outside the Central Entrance of the Hamburg Messe for WTCE

    • Visitors

      Do visitors have to register to attend?
      Yes, visitors have to register to attend. This can be done online prior to the show as well as on site.

      How much does it cost to visit the show?
      Tickets cost €54 if purchased online, or €70 if purchased on-site. VIP tickets are FREE of charge.

      How much does it cost to attend the conference?
      The conference is a payable event, and all costs are listed here.

      Do I have to register to attend as Media?
      Yes, to attend WTCE as Media you will need to complete the registration form, which will then be vetted for verification.

      Who should register as Media?
      Media badges are only accredited to journalists. Marketing, sales and advertising positions are not entitled to a media badge, but can register free of charge for a visitors badge.

    • Service, Safety and Security at our Events

      The safety and security of our staff and attendees is our priority. We work closely with the venue, local and national authorities to identify risks, assess them and develop security plans for our events.


      Everyone attending our events should be aware that the following are in place:

      • Customer Service staff may approach you to assist you outside, at entry or inside the event
      • Staff and attendees are required to wear ID badges provided
      • Bag checks are in operation at our events
      • Walkthrough or hand held scanners may be in operation at our events
      • CCTV in operation at our events is monitored and recorded
      • Uniformed and covert Security Guards are in attendance at our events
      • Uniformed and covert Police are in attendance at some of our events
      • Canine Security and Detection is in operation at some of our events

      Everyone attending our events is requested to:

      • Keep personal property with you at all times and do not leave any items unattended
      • Report anything that looks unusual, suspicious or just out of place to a member of event staff
      • Remain patient and courteous with event staff undertaking security checks
      • Follow the instructions of event staff at all times
      • On their final visit to the event, dispose of their badge inside the event or when they’ve returned home, not in bins immediately outside the event
      • Carry a recognised form of photo ID with them at all times
