Christian Hallowell is an accomplished chef with more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. In his role as General Manager – On-Board Customer Experience at Delta Air Lines, he is responsible for elevating the in-flight culinary experience for Delta customers through the airline’s food and beverage programs. His key responsibilities include menu design and development, provisioning, and logistics – in partnership with more than 160 catering kitchens around the globe.

Prior to joining Delta, he served as the airline’s Dedicated Executive Chef within gategroup, a global leader in airline catering. In this role, he supported Delta’s global operation through a collaborative partnership, delivering best-in-class results and setting a gold standard for catering excellence. Before his time at gategroup, Christian also worked in research and development and culinary with Compass Group’s health care division Morrison, Lufthansa Service Group, Ritz-Carlton and Occidental Hotels as well as many fine dining establishments around the country

Originally from upstate New York, Christian was educated at the Baltimore International Culinary College, studied business at Reinhardt College and hospitality administration at Cornell University. He volunteers his time as local quartermaster for the Boy Scouts of America and currently resides in Roswell GA with his wife and two young boys.
