Wilbert de Louw is the founder of Foodcase International, an inflight catering company founded exactly 10 years ago. Within this last decade, he has become a true protagonist championing for a more sustainable inflight industry. Fueled by the notion of avoiding onboard food waste, Wilbert has been a pioneer of ambient food solutions in this sector. When Foodcase was conceived, ambient food products were seen as inferior and unsuitable for the airline industry. This is in sharp contrast to the almost exclusively ambient onboard offerings these days on most LCC and Charter airlines. Under Wilbert's guidance, Foodcase has grown into a global supplier of inflight (ambient) products within North America, Europe, and Asia. He is most proud of the neutral role Foodcase plays by collaborating with all stakeholders in the industry. As an independent system integrator for airlines, caterers, and manufacturers, he is focused on delivering better solutions for the airline industry. In his free time, Wilbert enjoys cooking, and improving his wine-tasting skills but can also be found in an aircraft traveling around the world looking for new food concepts and meeting customers.
