Melissa Raudebaugh is no stranger to the aviation industry having spent 24+ years as a Delta Air Lines employee where she has held positions as a propulsion engineer, aircraft interiors engineer, supply chain manager, fleet strategy manager, aircraft transactions manager, marketing manager and now as a fleet and galley manager in the in-flight organization. Prior to starting her career at Delta, she was a test engineer at Rocketdyne Propulsion Systems (now Aerojet Rocketdyne) working on the Space Shuttle Main Engine. Melissa has a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Georgia State University. She is the Chairwoman of the Crystal Cabin awards and has been a jury member since 2021. In her current role she is responsible for the aircraft interior product as it relates to the flight attendant as Delta purchases new aircraft and modifies existing aircraft into a new configuration. She is also responsible for the team who designs chef curated menus into the galleys and galley planning system so the caterers know what to board for the customers. She began her passion for aircraft interiors in her role as an engineer early in her career and has carried that passion through her various jobs at Delta.
