David leads the commercial team for dnata’s global catering division, producing over 50 million in-flight meals a year in 64 airports, across six continents. Under David’s leadership, the catering division has grown by a significant 72%, supporting dnata in joining the world leaders in airline catering.
David started out his career as a Chef and has since gained almost 35 years of experience in airline catering, bringing his knowledge and passion for food to every role.
In 1992, David joined Emirates as Food Product Manager and led the development of the airline’s menus across the entire 42 location, multi-cultural route network, establishing the principle that each menu be tailored to the specific tastes of the target audiences of a given route. This principle still guides the award-winning airline’s food offering today.
In 2002, David joined the board of the International Flight Services Association (IFSA) and served as Chairman and President from 2011-2013. David continues to serve as a board member of the IFSA Foundation, which helps provide scholarships to further student education.
